Enjoy helping us create an orchard! Small groups can register online to volunteer to plant a tree at Adaland as part of the new Heritage Apple Orchard project. Each group or family picks up a tree with a planting guide. Call for more information.

Mother’s Day Buffet on the Pavilion | Sunday, May 9, Three seatings: 12:30, 2:15 or 3:45 pm
Guests for this day are treated to the mouthwatering down home cooking of Adaland’s long time cook, Lucy Williamson and will include two entrees, a collection of sides, salad with Lucy’s famous dressing, homemade bread, and a sideboard of luscious desserts. Adaland’s signature peach iced tea and coffee round out the afternoon meal that has become a favorite of many visitors. Adults $25.00. Children $10.00. Reservations are required and seating is limited to family groups, with 50 people per seating. Reservations must be made in advance by calling 304-516-1124 and paid with a credit card, check, or cash. Please wear your mask and observe social distancing.

Tag Sale Fundraiser | Friday and Saturday, August 13 and 14, 10:00 to 4:00 pm
Add arts, crafts, tools and antiques for sale on the pavilion. Open to the public. No pre sales. Free admission. Food for purchase.
Murder Mystery Dinner Theater on the Pavilion | Friday, August 20 and Saturday, August 21, 5:00 pm.
Audiences have been enjoying our dinner theater for a number of years. Join usfor a really fun filled thriller and help solve the murder. $40.00 per person. Reservations are required and seating is limited to to family groups. Reservations must be paid in advance with a credit card, check, or cash.

Cooking Apples Class at the Barn | Saturday, September 18, 1:00 to 3:00 pm
Join us for a cooking demonstration and free samples of freshly made apple sauce and apple cake. Registration is limited and reservations must be made in advance by calling 304-516-1124. The restored barn displays a varied collection of reproductions of equipment and tools owned by Augustus Modisett, builder of the mansion house. No barn admission charge. House tours available for $10.00.
OCTOBER

ROYAL TEA Assorted fresh fruit, tea sandwiches, scones, and mini desserts with variety of hot teas and punch, and a course of little savories. Adults $35. Reservations are required and seating is limited to family groups. Reservations must be paid in advance with a credit card, check, or cash.
Heritage Day/Living History | Saturday, October 23, 11:00 to 3:00 pm
Join us for an outdoor event taking place on the grounds of Adaland with living history reenactors, live music on the pavilion, live demonstrations at the barn, house tours and historical foods for sale. Bring a picnic or buy lunch, available for $15.00 each. No barn admission charge. House tours available. $10.00.

First of our holiday celebrations. The buffet dinner features a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Adaland’s own cook of 14 years, Lucy Williamson, prepares a buffet table spread with seasonal delectables including ham, turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and other vegetables, salad with Lucy’s secret dressing, homemade rolls warm from the oven, a dessert table heavy with pies and cakes of the season, and Adaland’s signature peach iced tea. Adults $25.00. Children $10.00. Reservations are required and seating is limited to 1 family per group. Reservations must be paid in advance with a credit card, check, or cash.

Christmas Open House with Santa’s Bake Shop | Saturday, December 4, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Free Admission. Guests are offered a cookie, a cup of coffee, or hot tea while they visit and are welcomed by twinkling lights, red velvet ribbons, garlands, and wreathes as well as Christmas trees in every room. Homemade Cookies Santa’s Bake Shop features homemade Christmas cookies baked for the occasion by Adaland Board member Jeannie Mozley. Gift Shop Open.
